Katerina is a Mind-Body Practitioner and Certified Hypnotist who is passionate about helping people interconnect their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies to maintain or regain wellness and health.
Katerina began her career with a focus on the physical body, which was a natural extension of her role as professional volleyball athlete. She later transferred the physical knowledge she gained on the the volleyball court to assist clients as a fitness coach, which she continues to do today. In working with her clients, many of whom have chronic lifestyle diseases such as depression obesity and diabetes, she realized that medications alone were not adequately addressing their health issues. This led Katerina to actively research alternative methods of treatment for improved health results.
Katerina received her certification in hypnosis from the Center of Integrative Hypnosis, in New York, where she was trained in clinical hypnosis, mind body therapies, coupled with Classical and Ericksonian Hypnosis, Neuro Linguistic Programming and Emotional Freedom Technique. This dual emphasis on the mind and body connection has enabled her to teach people how to use their body’s natural wisdom to heal, maintain balance, restore homeostasis and break unhealthy habits.
Currently working with variety of clients Katerina uses mind body techniques, such as hypnosis, imagery training, physical movement, kundalini yoga, and energy medicine, to augment the body’s wisdom to heal and improve physical and mental health. She is working closely with a team of excellent health care practitioners, co-creating personalized protocols whereby patients use holistic interventions in coordination with conventional medicine to recover from surgery, manage disease and restore health.
Katerina received her B.S in Physical Education and Exercise Science and a M.Sc. in Exercise Science and Quality of life. She was the Associate Athletic Director and Physical Education Teacher at the Hewitt School in New York City. Katerina is certified in Reiki, Kundalini Yoga, Pilates, and TRX.
